Aimee Mullins: Opportunty of Adversity

Posted on April 20, 2010

The human ability to adapt is an amazing quality. Aimee Mullins is a double amputee that have not just ‘overcame’ adversity but learned to embrace it as part of her creative potential. It’s the conflict, struggle, and adaption that unlocks the beauty in us all. In fact, the greatest obstacle that we have created for ourselves is the allusion of normalcy. What is normal? We can’t use excuses like money, strength, speed, or beauty as an excuse anymore not to achieve. Mullins has spoken a TED a number of times, this is her latest talk about how adversity is not an obstacle but a opportunty.
