A friggin ‘LAZER’…

I think people talk (or write) too much. Too many people just love the sound of their own voice or reading the wisdom of their own writings. I have read so many non-fiction books that I seriously don’t think I can read another. That’s why I love quotes. Short, concise, and straight to the point. It’s amazing to me how much can be said with so little. And it’s even more amazing that the right quote can immortalize you in history. Quotes have the power to inspire a movement, change lives, or start revolutions. Here are some of my favorte quotes in regards to Creative Leadership:

“When all think alike, then no one is thinking.” — Walter Lippman

“Great is the human who has not lost his childlike heart.” — Mencius (Meng-Tse), 4th century BCE

“Creativity, as has been said, consists largely of rearranging what we know in order to find out what we do not know. Hence, to think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted.” — George Kneller

“It’s easy to come up with new ideas; the hard part is letting go of what worked for you two years ago, but will soon be out of date.” — Roger von Oech

“The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas.” — Dr. Linus Pauling

“The essential part of creativity is not being afraid to fail.” — Edwin H. Land

“Anxiety is the hand maiden of creativity.” — Chuck Jones, Warner Bros. animator
